The Alaska State Chamber of Commerce named Kevin O. Meyers the 2004 William A. Egan Outstanding Alaskan at the Chamber's 45th Annual Convention and Business Trade Show in Juneau. The award is given to individuals who have made substantial and continual contributions of statewide significance while working in the private sector. Meyers was the former president of ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. and is the current president of Russia-Caspian at ConocoPhillips. He also served as executive vice president of Alaska production and operations for Phillips Petroleum Co. and as president and chief executive officer of Phillips Alaska Inc. Meyers has been in the oil and gas industry since 1980, and came to Alaska in 1996 for ARCO's E&P Operations.
