Alaska Attorney General John Burns has ordered the state to release 25,000 pages of e-mails from former governor Sarah Palin and senior staff members by May 31 According to MSNBC, the delays in releasing public records from Palin's administration have lasted longer than her administration. She served as governor for 966 days; the request from msnbc.com for the official records will be 986 days old by May 31.

State law requires that records be made public within 10 days, but state officials have said they were overwhelmed by the volume of Palin's e-mails and asked Burns for a total of 15 delays.
