Alaska Business Monthly is proud to present its third annual Alaska Corporate 100. The companies listed on the following pages are the state's largest employers and represent Alaska's major industries except government and the military.

Unlike our New 49ers listing, published every October, the Corporate 100 need not be based in Alaska or Alaskan-owned. We decided to list the company according to the name Alaskans would most recognize; i.e., Spendard Builders Supply instead of Lanoga Inc. Employees includes full-time, part-time and seasonal workers.

The Alaska Corporate 100 was designed to give the job-hunter, supply-seeker or corporate salesperson a handy list of the state's largest prospects, and afford the casual reader an overview of the Great Land's economic topography. Companies that think that they should have been included are invited to contact us.
