Alaska Airlines joins FAA study.

Alaska Airlines and three other aviation companies are working with the Federal Aviation Administration on a five-year, $66 million project to develop computer technologies that reduce fuel consumption, emissions and noise. Alaska Airlines will conduct test flights for the project, which also includes GE Aviation, Lockheed Martin and AirDat.
