The Point Thomson airport is open and ready for business, thanks in part to Era Alaska. Passenger service for Point Thomson personnel began October 1, 2013, and is making transportation much less of a challenge for ExxonMobil and its contractors.

The Point Thomson airstrip, operated by ExxonMobil, met Federal Aviation Administration regulations in late September. Currently, flight operations for both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters have been fully transitioned to the airstrip.
