Alabama firm completes acquisition of McNair.

Alabama-based law firm Burr & Forman LLP has completed its acquisition of Carolinas-based McNair Law Firm P.A., giving the Birmingham firm 19 offices in eight states.

The acquisition was announced last November.

McNair's offices in Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Bluffton and Charlotte will operate as Burr Forman McNair for a two-year period, according to a news release.

"This acquisition serves to deepen the bench and accelerate growth opportunities for both our clients and our team in the Carolinas and throughout the Southeast," said David Tigges, former CEO of McNair who is now a member of Burr & Forman's executive committee as Carolinas managing partner. "Specifically, we see an immediate benefit from our combined strengths in terms of both industries and practice areas."
