Air France Air France is now flying A380s between Paris and Washington-Dulles, San Francisco as well as on the Montreal-Paris route. Air France, in collaboration with Delta, offers up to two daily flights between Washington-Dulles and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. During summer 2011, Air France is operating, in partnership with Delta, 10 weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and San Francisco. With the current service on the New York-JFK route, Air France now serves three U.S. destinations with its A380. Air France has also begun nonstop flights between Orlando and its famous Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub. Jun 7, 2011

AirTran Airways AirTran Airways Launches 72 Hours of Savings Sale. AirTran Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest Airlines Co. June 7, 2011, through June 9, 2011, and are good for travel June 17, 2011, through November 15, 2011, for most of the system; August 20, 2011, through November 15, 2011, to and from Aruba, Montego Bay, Nassau/Paradise Island and San Juan; and from September 6, 2011, through November 15, 2011, to and from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco. Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines Ranks Highest in Traditional Network Carrier Satisfaction Rankings for Fourth Straight Year in J.D. Power and Associates Study. Alaska Airlines ranked highest in airline customer satisfaction among traditional network carriers for the fourth consecutive year by J.D. Power and Associates in its 2011 North America Airline Satisfaction Study(SM). The airline also topped J.D. Power and Associates' annual segment rankings in 2008, 2009 and 2010. "We're honored to receive this recognition by our customers for the fourth year in a row," Alaska Airlines President Brad Tilden said. "This recognition is due to the incredible efforts of our employees, who set the bar for customer service excellence." Albany International Airport Albany airport may receive new scanners. The Transportation Security Administration recently told officials at New York's Albany International Airport that it is considering adding new security features to the airport, including a new full-body scanner that would address travelers' privacy concerns, as well as a special lane for business travelers. Officials did not provide a timeline for the new features but noted that the airport would probably not receive the scanners before late this year. Jun 7, 2011
