Aeromexico Aeromexico will begin new flights to Guatemala from Mexico City on July 4. The new flights are part of the airlineOs international expansion plan announced earlier this year. The flights will be operated on the next generation Boeing 737 with convenient schedules that will allow passengers to connect, domestically and internationally, to a network of Aeromexico flights. With the flight to Guatemala, Aeromexico will be offering its passengers flights to nine destinations to and from Latin America. Jun 7, 2011

Aeromexico Aeromexico has announced a new daily flight between ChicagoOs OOHare International Airport and Leon/Guanajuato, with a stopover in Monterrey. The new route will operate with an Embraer 190 and officially launch on July 4 with the flight to Chicago from Monterrey, while the flight to Leon/Guanajuato will begin on the following day, July 5.

Argentina Flights in Argentina are being disrupted by an ash cloud caused by the eruption of a volcano in Chile. Aerolineas Argentinas, its domestic subsidiary Austral and Lan Argentina have temporarily cancelled all domestic flights to the southern part of the country after the Chilean Puyehue volcano erupted on 4 June, sending a rapidly spreading eastbound ash cloud into Patagonian airspace. Following recommendations from the Argentinean aviation authorities, all airlines operating to the region cancelled their flights on 4 and 5 June as the ash cloud expanded to reach the Atlantic coast. The airports affected include Baricloche, Neuquen, Esquel, Chapelco, Trelew, Viedma, Rio Gallegos, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Rio Grande and Comodoro Rivadavia. Jun 6, 2011
