Air China Air China Inaugurates Rotations between Chengdu and Tokyo. Air China has further cemented its network by launching direct links between Chengdu and Tokyo on June 16. Previously, travelers between Chengdu and Japan had to transfer at a third city, so the new flight improves service out of western China. Air China already offers flights from Chengdu to Singapore, Katmandu, Karachi, Bangalore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Now the new addition brings Air China's number of routes from Chengdu to international and regional destinations up to 11. Jun 17, 2011

Air China Air China Introduces Rotations Between Beijing and Milan. With Air China's flight CA949 taking to the sky on June 15, the carrier's direct rotations between Beijing and Milan were introduced to the market. Milan was the third European destination introduced by Air China in 2011 following Dusseldorf, Germany and Athens, Greece. Up to now, Air China operates flights to 13 European cities, which means the carrier serves the largest number of European destinations among Chinese carriers.

Air China offers its three weekly Beijing-Milan flights, CA949/950, with A330. The flight time is 11 hours and 30 minutes. The outbound flight leaves Beijing at 13:30 and arrives in Milan at 19:00 local time; the inbound flight leaves Milan at 21:00 and arrives in Beijing at 13:30 local time on the following day. The recent launch in Air ChinaOs gateways in North America brings to 21 the total number of international cities with web check-in service. Air China has offered online check-in service in more than 60 domestic cities in China for more than two years. International passengers traveling via New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver can log on within three to 24 hours before departure on Air ChinaOs official website, ( for Vancouver passengers) to check in online. Air China is the exclusive national flag carrier of the PeopleOs Republic of China. It is the only airline that provides daily nonstop flights to Beijing from Los Angeles.
