Newark airport Chinese trespasser completes community service. Haisong Jiang, the Chinese graduate student whose farewell kiss touched off a massive security alert at Newark Liberty International Airport, has completed his 100 hours of community service with the city Sanitation Department. Jiang spent his time "sweeping and picking up paper, cutting the grass and maintaining lots, and performing necessary duties at the city garage," according to a local official. Though he still faces up to $11,000 in civil fines from the TSA, Jiang's attorney says he "is now focused on completing his doctorate degree, furthering his research into the causes of glaucoma and moving forward with his life." Air Seychelles It was learned over the weekend that the Seychellois national airline, Air Seychelles, has embarked on a service improvement program, which also includes on-board announcements in Creole, they key national language besides English and French. Additionally, the airline has changed their amenity bag for business class passengers, offering more local content to promote SeychellesO own products. Catering has also been upped with added snacks available on the flights sectors between Rome and Milan in Italy and the final destination London Heathrow and Gatwick. Entertainment on board was also targeted with film-viewing devices now available for hire in economy class, from which a range of additional films can be accessed, over and above the inflight entertainment program available in the cabin. The airline also announced the creation of special year-round Seychellois citizen fares aimed to make travel for ordinary Seychellois more affordable. On the domestic network, the airline launched off-peak fares for periods of the day with lesser demand, promoting increased use of air travel between the islands on the Air Seychelles network.
