Air France, Airbus Air France will deploy its fourth Airbus A380 on the Paris-Tokyo Narita route from 1 September. The carrier will operate the route three times a week until 5 October, when the service will become daily. Flight AF276 will depart from Paris at 13:30, and flight AF275 will leave Tokyo at 11:50. Air India Express The Indian government has appointed a court of inquiry to look into the fatal Air India Express crash involving a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on 22 May. Retired air marshal Bhushan Nilkanth Gokhale, the former vice-chief of the Indian Air Force, will head the court, says the civil aviation ministry. He will be assisted by four other officials, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's airworthiness director S.N. Dwivedi will be the court's secretary, adds the ministry. The New Delhi-based court is expected to complete its investigations and submit its report to the government by 31 August, says the ministry. Jun 7, 2010
All Nippon Airways, Boeing As the 787 closes in on a November or December first delivery to All Nippon Airways followed by a January entry into service, Boeing is pressing to prepare the first pilots to fly its new jetliner. The company recently completed two of the three stages toward formally validating the 787's handling and 777 training commonality with global regulatory authorities. The first stage, T-1, a paper-based systems comparison, was followed by the more rigorous T-2 phase. T-2 took six 777 line pilots, three representing the US Federal Aviation Administration, one from EASA, one from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau and another from Transport Canada.
