American Airlines, Etihad Airways American Airlines and Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi-based national airline of the United Arab Emirates, today announced they will offer passengers the opportunity to redeem frequent flyer miles on flights booked on each other's networks. Starting today, members of American's AAdvantage[umlaut] program and Etihad Airways Etihad Guest frequent flyer program will be able to redeem miles on eligible American Airlines flights and eligible Etihad Airways flights. This follows the June 1 announcement that the airlines would allow passengers to earn miles across their respective networks. Oct 18, 2011

Emirates Airlines, Airbus An Emirates jet made an emergency landing at Hyderabad. The plane flying from Bangkok to Dubai landed safely at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Sunday. All 410 passengers on board the A380 superjumbo were safe and had been ferried to their destination in batches. In a statement, an airline spokesperson said: OEmirates can confirm flight EK 385 and A380 aircraft from Bangkok to Dubai was diverted to Hyderabad international airport today at 0345 hours due to a technical snag in the aircraft.OO The airline said the 410 passengers were disembarked safely. OO205 passengers departed on EK 527, a Boeing 777 aircraft at 10.20 local hours.OO Oct 23, 2011
