Venezuela's Transcarga Int'l begins A300 freighter operations Transcarga International Airways, based at Caracas Simun Bolivar, has deployed its first A300B4(F), YV560T (cn 261), into revenue service on flights from Venezuela to Miami Int'l and Houston Intc'l. The freighter is part of a fleet of seven such aircraft the Venezuelan operator acquired, the rest of which are in storage in Orlando Sanford, Lourdes/Tarbes, or Caracas Simun Bolivar. Kenya Airways retires Embraer EMB-170 fleet Kenya Airways has confirmed to ch-aviation that it has retired its fleet of three Embraer EMB-170s. The aircraft type was the smallest in the Kenyan national carrier's fleet. Based on analysis of schedule data, it presumably still keeps the aircraft as a back-up for now with a very small number of round-trips to Kisumu and Mombasa still scheduled for later this month. Jetairfly to operate ex-AeroMAxico Boeing 737-700 for ECAir Jetairfly, based at Brussels National, has won a wet-lease contract from ECAIR - Equatorial Congo Airlines to operate at least one aircraft on ECAir's behalf according to Het Nieuwsblad en Gazet van Antwerpen. The first aircraft is likely a Boeing 737-700 (msn 33793), initially expected to be operated by PrivatAir (Switzerland) on behalf of ECAir.
