Southwest reaches tentative agreement with pilots union Southwest Airlines and its pilots union have reached a tentative agreement on a contract through 2019. Union members will vote on ratification of the contract on Nov. 4. Alaska Airlines names new safety-focused managing director Alaska Airlines has rehired John Ladner as managing director of fleet, standards and operational control. Ladner previously held the position in 2010.
