Kuwait National Airways, Airbus, Boeing

New Kuwaiti Airline Talking To Airbus, Boeing. Planned new airline Kuwait National Airways said it is in talks with aircraft makers Airbus and Boeing about its fleet requirements but is yet to make a decision. The strategy of Kuwait National Airways was still on the drawing board pending the outcome of market studies, he said. Kuwait has two operating airlines -- state-owned Kuwait Airways, which has 17 aircraft, and low-budget carrier Jazeera Airways which has a fleet of five Airbus A320s. May 21, 2007

MNG Technic, Turkmenistan Airlines, Boeing

MNG Technic signed an agreement with Turkmenistan Airlines to provide base maintenance services and hangar space for the carrier's Boeing 757, 737-300 and 717 fleets. May 22, 2007

Royal Jordanian Airlines, Boeing

Royal Jordanian airlines has ordered two Boeing 787-8 airplanes and took options on two others. The two ordered planes are valued between $296 million and $315 million combined, according to Boeing's website May 21, 2007
