Air China commits to sixty Boeing 737s Air China has signed a firm order with Boeing for sixty 737 aircraft comprising both 737 NextGen and MAX variants. The aircraft are to be delivered between 2016 and 2020 and are valued at more than USD6 billion at current list prices. Air India issues RFPs for A320s and 737s Air India and its affiliates have unveiled Requests For Proposals (RFP) for the lease of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft due for delivery from this year onwards.

Tender documents seen by ch-aviation show the Indian carrier is looking to dry-lease fourteen A320ceo/neo aircraft with delivery scheduled for between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2019. Contracts will range from six to twelve years. The A320-200 jets are to be powered by CFM International CFM56-5B4/3 engines while the A320neo jets should use either CFM LEAP-1A26 or Pratt & Whitney PW1127G-JM motors. In its tender for the dry-lease of five new 737-800s, Air India Express said it would require the jets for a period of eight years with an option to extend the lease by four more years. The aircraft, which are to be powered by CFM56-7B27/3 motors, should be delivered before the end of next year and will operate on five-year long contracts. Guam's cargo operator Asia Pacific starts fleet renewal with Boeing 757 Asia Pacific Airlines, based at Guam Int'l, is planning to introduce a first Boeing 757-200F freighter to its fleet by April or May of this year, a Tan Holdings spokesperson has confirmed. The ex-Nordwind Airlines aircraft N757QM (msn 27203) will be converted by Precision Aircraft Solutions and initially operate on routes between Guam and Honolulu. Thai Lion closes Hat Yai base, sends ATR72 to Wings Air Thai Lion Air, based at Bangkok Don Mueang, has returned its single ATR72-600 HS-LFH (msn 1134) to Indonesia where the aircraft will likely join sister carrier Wings Air (Indonesia). The Lion Group subsidiary in Thailand had operate regional routes from Hat Yai in the country's south to Hua Hin, Medan Kuala Namu and Surat Thani but has now abandoned these routes...
