Airlines seek lucrative cargo business. Airlines are emphasizing their cargo service in an effort to bring in more revenue. "There is a good amount of business out there," said Linda Dreffein, managing director of cargo in American Airlines' eastern division. "Some of it is conducive to air, some is not. Jade Cargo International will begin operations at the beginning of August, immediately after taking delivery of its first 747-400ERF.
