As part of its mission to provide access to its accounting collections, the AICPA Library Service has a digitizing program called the Digital Accounting Collection (DAC). More than 300 non-current AICPA exposure drafts from 1977 are now posted, with more to come. The full text of the Accounting Historians Journal, 1974-1992, the full text of over 100 accounting pamphlets ranging in date from 1888 to 1923, and dozens of photographs and illustrations also are available. Browse the Billie Ireland cartoon sketches from the 1906 AAPA Convention on the "Photographs and Illustrations" page. Perhaps you have an ancestor who was an accountant; search the 1920 Accountants Directory and Who's Who. Read about the new accounting system (with illustrations) at the St. Paul Hotel in 1912. There are many other full-text pamphlets to interest all with an historical bent.
