According to nextgov.com, the National Whistleblowers Center, along with six current and former employees from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Health and Human Services Department (HHS), are suing three federal agencies and two agency chiefs for allegedly withholding records and deleting e-mails related to whistleblowers' complaints.

The complaints were lodged against the FDA, HHS, and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The plaintiffs claim they were pressured to change their scientific opinions and were retaliated against when they refused.

The plaintiffs are seeking copies of e-mails they sent to supervisors, agency lawyers, and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in order to prove their attempts to notify the agencies of problems. The lawsuit names NARA and Archivist...
