Agape Care acquires Georgia hospice provider.

A day after announcing a new senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions, Agape Care Group has announced an acquisition.

Agape Care, a Spartanburg portfolio company ofRidgemont Equity Partners, acquiredGHC Hospice, according to a statement Wednesday from Agape Care. Founded in 2014, GHC provides hospices services in 25 counties in Georgia and South Carolina.

With the acquisition, Agape Care Group expands its end-of-life care team to 1,450 employees caring for 3,600 patients across the Southeast. Agape Care Group and its affiliates now serve more than 85% of the counties in Georgia along with operations across both Carolinas, the news release said.
