AFL continues Operational Workforce Program.

Spartanburg-based manufacturer AFL is continuing its Operational Workforce Program into 2019. The program is a partnership with Spartanburg Community College that introduces high school students to manufacturing. Spartanburg Community College professors teach the classes at Byrnes High School. Ten students are enrolled for the January 2019 semester.

"As a sponsor of this program, AFL is able to partake in training the next generation of manufacturing associates," said Ryan Burns, human resources director for AFL, in a news release. "The course gives students a great springboard into our manufacturing workforce."
