ASSOCIATION FOR ENTERPRISE INFORMATION

People--Process--Technology--Information

The Association for Enterprise Information is a non-profit association serving the needs of our members and government partners for dynamic, interactive collaboration on critical problems concerning mission, business and operational information.

AFEI provides a platform for collaboration and information exchange amongst business, government and academia on the critical enterprise information issues of today. Our members work on issues that support the important national goals of:

* Promoting the secure sharing of information amongst business, governments and citizens,

* Advancing the leveraging of national information assets for decision advantage, and

* Providing a community that evolves best practices in developing and deploying secure IT environments.

Activities

Working collaboratively, AFEI helps the community move from vision to reality. AFEI Working Groups are open to participation by those with legitimate interest in working on net-centric operations issues. The working groups activities include:

* Data Sharing and Services Strategy (DS3)

* Information Assurance (IAWG)

* Information Sharing

* Executive Forum on SOA Acquisition

* Identity Protection and Privilege Management Forum

* DCGS Industry Advisory Group

Board of Directors

The AFEI Board of Directors sets the strategy and vision for AFEI and provides governance of its affairs. AFEI annually elects directors from corporate organizations. For a complete list of the board, please visit www.afei.org.

NATIONAL TRAINING & SIMULATION ASSOCIATION

Companies in the simulation, training, mission planning/rehearsal and support services industry are represented through membership in the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), an affiliate of NDIA since 1992.

NTSA provides the training, simulation, mission planning, related support systems and training services industries a recognized, focused, formal organization to represent and promote their business interests in the marketplace. The association provides a forum to communicate the full capability and broad characteristics of all of the elements of training systems and mission planning to include associated support services.

Founded in 1988, the association fosters communication between the train ing industry, planners and acquisition agencies regarding requirements, procurement issues and policies. An important aim of NTSA is to see that all aspects of training, mission planning and rehearsal, training services and training range requirements are highlighted as independent and important "line items" in the overall planning, programming, budgeting and acquisition process.
