Eurocopter Eurcopter receives order for EC-135s from French police force. France has ordered three additional EC-135 helicopters from Eurocopter, according to the company. The aircraft are destined for the French Gendarmerie, and will eventually replace the police force's Ecureuil helicopters. "Eurocopter is dedicated to ensuring the French Gendarmerie -- and other police forces around the world -- obtain the highest reliability, optimum operational performance and best service with our helicopters," said Dominique Maudet, executive vice president for Global Business & Services at Eurocopter. Eurocopter, EADS Eurocopter has completed its takeover of Canadian MRO specialist Vector Aerospace in a deal worth CAN624 million ($647 million). The airframer said the acquisition will help it, and parent company EADS, to increase its support and services activities in both the civil and governmental markets. Lockheed Martin The Swedish air force is nearing a decision on a long-planned avionics modernisation program for its Lockheed Martin C-130H transports, according to the service's inspector general, Maj Gen Anders Silwer. "We have offers, and the FMV [Defence Materiel Administration] is looking at them right now," Silwer said at the Paris air show on 22 June.
