Turkey places order for 2 F-35s from U.S. Turkey plans to purchase two F-35A Joint Strike Fighters from the U.S., Turkish officials said Thursday. Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today that it was awarded a contract, valued at approximately USD50 million , to supply Hermes 900[umlaut] Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to a governmental office of a country in the Americas. The UAS will be operated in a variety of perimeter security missions. The project will be performed over approximately one year.
