Israel Aerospace Industries has demonstrated the capabilities of its Heron unmanned air vehicle for Brazil's federal police, which is eyeing the type for border security missions and other tasks, such as tackling smugglers and drug traffickers, and protecting natural resources. Conducted in late July, the demonstration was staged under challenging and unpredictable weather conditions in Brazil's southern Parana state.
