Aer Lingus has delayed the launch of its much anticipated Shannon to Boston flights for a second time, until February 4. In a statement, Aer Lingus blamed the delay on an "unforeseen scheduling delay" in the delivery of Boeing 757-200 aircraft to be used on the route. The flights were originally scheduled to have commenced on January 20. The Irish carrier is wet-leasing a total of three ex-Finnair 757-200s from Air Contractors, all of which are currently in Shannon awaiting entry into service.
