Juan Walker has been charged in the Sauk County Circuit Court with the sexual assault of Katherine. In a pretrial ruling, the circuit court ordered that DNA evidence from the bed sheet on which the sexual assault allegedly occurred is not admissible in evidence at trial. Walker filed a petition for leave to appeal that order, and the petition was granted by this court. Based on the current state of the record, we conclude that the bed sheet DNA evidence is admissible and reverse the order of the circuit court. Nothing in this opinion is intended to...
