Additional opportunities to earn ABV credential announced.

The Accredited in Business Valuation credential committee has announced that the ABV examination will be offered twice per year now, giving ABV credential candidates more flexibility in fulfilling this aspect of the credentialing process.

The next examination period will run from July 26 through July 31, with candidates being able to sit for the examination at any Prometrics examination center throughout the U.S. The multiple-day examination window and the wider availability of exam testing sites was first implemented in the fall of 2003 versus the one-day examination previously administered only through selected state CPA societies. The fall 2004 examination window will run from Nov. 15 through Nov. 30.

It is highly recommended that candidates considering sitting for the ABV examination should attend the two-day ABV Examination Review course as an integral step to successful performance on the exam itself. Each course is team-taught by two discussion leaders who are carefully screened and selected based on their knowledge and teaching skills.
