Most people love the sun, but many of us limit our exposure to it because we know the ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause premature aging, wrinkles, and skin cancer. But new research suggests that some people may be addicted to UV rays. A study at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center measured brain activity in users of tanning beds; when the tanners were exposed to UV rays, the areas of the brain that play a role in drug addiction were activated. But when the UV rays were filtered out, the addiction areas didn't react and tanners felt unsatisfied...
