Anchorage tourism climbed about 7 percent in 2007 from the previous year, according to city bed-tax tallies reported by the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau. ACVB officials projected a total bed tax of $20.6 million. More than 800,000 visitors visited Anchorage for the year through November 2007 with an estimated economic impact of $150.7 million.
