ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This undertaking represents the 2021 edition of the Standards for Examination of Real Estate Titles in Arkansas. This edition marks the third since a significant change was made in the publication of the Standards. Since its inception, the Standards were periodically overhauled leading to the introduction of a new set of standards at somewhat irregular intervals. Beginning with the 2017 edition, the committee developed a five-year plan where one-fifth of the chapters are given a thorough review each year with a new publication being released on an annual basis. Every five years, the Standards will have gone through a complete overhaul and the cycle will begin again.

The committee is grateful for the generous financial support of the Arkansas Bar Association's Natural Resources Section and Real Estate Law Section. Collaborators involved in the publication of this edition are also greatly indebted to those who created the previous editions.
