Accountancy bodies from Mexico, Canada and the United States recently signed a Professional Mutual Recognition Agreement recognizing the substantial equivalency of the Mexican contador publicos certificado, Canadian chartered accountant and U.S. CPA.

The five-year agreement recognizes that CPCs, CAs and CPAs have substantially equivalent education and experience, and they'll be able to practice in the other two countries without having to take the respective country's entire accounting...
