It's a new year, and if you're reading this page, you know this magazine looks a little different.

That's by design. We're using The YGS Group, a York, Pennsylvania-based publishing and printing company with enormous experience helping associations develop and revamp their member magazines.

We think they've done an excellent job of refocusing and redesigning your member magazine. First, you'll notice that we're getting right to the point by simply calling the publication Tax Executive. While you're going to be reading the same valuable, informative cover stories we've always included, the cover artwork and journalistic content might seem somewhat different, as you can see in our cover story, "Congress, New Leadership, New Year = Corporate Tax Reform?"

As in prior issues, we'll be including other significant articles besides the cover story. We're aiming for four features, including the cover story, in every issue of Tax Executive. In the January/February issue, you'll find articles on state tax developments in 2015; the impact of new technology on tax professionals; and a roundtable discussion of the Wynne case, an important tax controversy that has now reached the Supreme Court. We believe that the inaugural roundtable turned out well (and the participants told us they really enjoyed the process), so we hope to include roundtable discussions as an ongoing feature in every issue of Tax Executive. Several of the regular departments have been a staple of the magazine for years, such as the President's Letter, Chapter News, and Calendar of Events. But we've added some additional departments that we hope you'll find valuable, such as Member News, which will include a profile of an Emerging Leader; Institute...
