William Allensworth is the managing partner of Allensworth and Porter, LLP,
in Austin, Texas, and has taught courses in Construction Law and in Construc-
tion Litigation as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law
since 1999. He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers.
He was a founding member of both the Construction Law Section of the State
Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association.
Ross J. Altman is a partner in the Chicago ofce of DLA Piper, LLP (U.S.), and
co-chair of the rm’s Construction Law Practice Group. He represents clients
in connection with projects, located in the United States as well as overseas,
ranging from commercial high-rises to industrial plants and infrastructure. Mr.
Altman serves on the American Arbitration Association panel of construction
industry arbitrators and is an adjunct law professor and Fellow in the Ameri-
can College of Construction Lawyers.
Allen Overcash practices law with Woods & Aitken, LLP, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Arbi-
trator Master Panel, its Panel of Mediators, and its ICDR Panel of Arbitrators.
He has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the American College
of Construction Lawyers and the Governing Committee of the ABA Forum on
the Construction Industry, and in 2002 he received the Forum’s Cornerstone
Award. He is currently an adjunct professor of construction law at the Univer-
sity of Nebraska Law College.
Carol J. Patterson is a partner in the New York City ofce of Zetlin & De Chiara,
LLP, where her practice is focused on construction law. She has represented
clients in connection with a wide range of commercial, residential, arts, and
infrastructure projects. She writes and speaks frequently on construction law
issues. She has served as president of the Association of Real Estate Women
in New York City. She is a member of the Governing Committee of the ABA
Forum on the Construction Industry.
