Davis M. Walsh is a litigation partner at McGuireWoods LLP in the

Products, Environmental, and Mass Tort department. Davis has liti-

gated products liability, transportation, and nuisance, along with out-

break litigation cases in state and federal courts throughout the country.

Davis recently was named to the Best Lawyers inaugural class of “Ones

to Watch” for the category of Products Liability Litigation–Defense.

Davis earned his law degree from William & Mary School of Law,

where he was named to the Orders of the Coif and Barristers. Davis

earned a Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary and graduated mag-

na cum laude. Following law school, Davis clerked for the Honor-

able Tommy E. Miller, Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of

Virginia. Prior to law school, Davis served in the administration of

then-Governor Timothy M. Kaine, focusing on Homeland Security

issues. Davis also served as the Legislative Assistant to State Senator

R. Creigh Deeds. Davis draws on his government and legal experi-

ence in litigating outbreak cases.

Samuel L. Tarry Jr. is a litigation partner at McGuireWoods LLP and

former chair of the Products, Environmental, and Mass Tort depart-

ment. He has spent more than two decades litigating public health

disputes and has won jury trial verdicts in ten states. Sam has been

recognized by Chambers USA for his work as a national leader in

mass tort litigation, holds Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent peer

rating, and has been named repeatedly to Virginia Business Maga-

zine’s “Legal Elite” lists. The Legal 500 has also recognized Sam for

national excellence in products liability law.
