Michael Menapace practices insurance law, counsels clients on matters involving cybersecurity, and teaches insurance law. He practices in Wiggin and Dana LLP's Litigation Department and is located in the firm's Hartford and New York City offices. Mr. Menapace counsels and represents insurance clients in state and federal courts across the country concerning business practices, insurance coverage, and other insurance and reinsurance issues. In addition, he advises insurers on policy construction, compliance and regulatory issues, and in connection with internal investigations and responses to government inquiries and subpoenas. He advises a variety of companies on data security and privacy issues and is vice chair of the ABA TIPS Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee. As a general litigator, Mr. Menapace defends companies facing environmental and construction claims. Leading insurance industry trade groups have engaged Mr. Menapace to represent them on matters of industry-wide importance before trial and appellate courts. He publishes and speaks regularly and teaches insurance law at Quinnipiac University School of Law. Among his published works are The Reference Handbook on the Commercial General Liability Policy, Chapter 9 (ABA Publishing 2nd ed.), and Products Liability in New York: Second Edition, 2017 Supplement, Chapter 22 (New York State Bar Association Publications).

Timothy A. Diemand is a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Litigation Department and co-chair of the Insurance Practice Group. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes, and professional malpractice defense. Mr. Diemand acts as lead trial counsel for public and private companies in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He graduated with a B.A. cum laude from Clark University and received his J.D. with honors from the National Law Center at George Washington University where he was a member of the Journal of International Law and Economics.
