Robert Divis is a private attorney and the owner of Divis Law LLC.

Located in Macon, Georgia his major practice areas include consumer pro-

tection litigation (particularly fraud and exploitation against elderly and dis-

abled persons) and probate.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Robert served as an infantry officer (air-

borne) in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Captain and

completed successful tours of duty in the storied 82nd Airborne Division and

the historic 28th Infantry Regiment. To honor his heritage of military ser-

vice, Robert maintains a pro-bono practice in cooperation with American

Legion Post #3, assisting veterans with administrative law issues relating to

the Department of Veterans Affairs; Social Security Administration; and De-

partment of Defense. He is currently expanding his consumer practice to

include consumer bankruptcy.

Robert is a graduate of Cleveland State University (BA) and Mercer

University School of Law (JD). He is admitted to practice law in the state of

Georgia; the Georgia Court of Appeals; the Supreme Court of the State of

Georgia; the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern

Districts of Georgia; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He

also holds U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs accreditation and is an active

member of the America Bar Association’s Section of Administrative Law and

Regulatory Practice; the National Association of Consumer Advocates; and

the Macon Bar Association. Robert was the first participant and first graduate

of the Middle Georgia Access to Justice Council Small Firm Incubator Pro-

gram and remains a proud volunteer for the organization, for which work he

has been recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
