ARGENTINA
Marcelo Bombau leads the mergers and acquisitions and media and entert ainment
departments of M. & M. Bomchil. Since join ing the firm in 1981, he has worked
on a number of important tran sactions, part icipating actively in some of the most
important reorgan izations and company purchase dea ls carried out in A rgentina
during the past decade, e specially related to media a nd entertainment. T he mergers
and acquisitions field has been at the core of M r. Bombau’s activities; he has given
advice on difficult negotiations and actively participated i n due diligence processes,
negotiations, and the str ucturing of complex busines ses. Mr. Bombau is a member
of the board of directors of several loc al companies. Various publications have dis-
tinguished hi m within his a rea of practice. He has writ ten many articles a nd has
lectured both i n Argentina and abroad. Mr. Bombau graduated from National Uni-
versity of La Plata in 1981. He is a member of the Bar of the Cit y of Buenos Aires,
the American B ar Association (of which he is chair of t he Section of International
Law), and the International Bar A ssociation.
Pablo F. Ferraro-Mila is one of the founding par tners of the law firm G onzalez &
Ferraro-Mila i n Buenos Aires, where he specialize s in mergers and acquisitions, cor-
porate and project finance, and international busines s transactions. B efore forming
Gonzalez & Ferraro -Mila in 20 05 (of which he is the managing par tner), he was a
partner with a major law fir m in Argentina a nd had worked with Cravath, Swaine
& Moore in New York and with Allen & Overy in L ondon. Mr. Ferraro-Mila
is admitted to the Buenos A ires Bar, to the New York Bar, and as a Solicitor in
England and Wales. He also rec eived a master of comparative jurisprudence from
New York University School of Law as a Fulbright Scholar. He has been ran ked as
a leader in the Corporate/ M&As field in Ar gentina, both by Chambers & Partners
Global and Latin Amer ica editions, since 20 06. He is also a frequent contr ibutor
to specialized publicat ions and author of the book The Transfer of Control Share-
holdings, published by L exisNexis. He is a n active member of the ABA and of the
International Division of the Law Society of Engla nd and Wales. In addition to his
native Spanish, he speaks E nglish, French, and Port uguese.
