Eduardo Alem
an (Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles) is
Associate Professor of Political Science, University of Houston. He
specializes in the comparative analysis of political institutions and Latin
American politics. He is the co-editor of Legislative Institutions
and Lawmaking in Latin America (Oxford University Press, 2016).
His research has been published in such journals as World Politics, Com-
parative Politics, Comparative Political Studies, Legislative Studies
Quarterly, Electoral Studies, Latin American Politics and Society,and
Latin American Research Review.

Adam Dynes is an assistant professor in the Department of Political
Science at Brigham Young University and a scholar at the Center for
the Study of Elections and Democracy at BYU. He received his Ph.D.
from Yale University in 2015. His work focuses on legislative behavior
and representation and has appeared in the American Political Science
Review and the American Journal of Political Science.

University. She studies gender and politics, local politics, and political
