About the Authors

Shaun M. Van Horn, Editor in Chief, is a partner with Jenner & Block

LLP. Mr. Van Horn litigates matters and counsels clients in competition

law, intellectual property, and technology disputes. Mr. Van Horn has expe-

rience in patent infringement, pharmaceutical, and biologics litigation. He

assists clients with inter partes reviews and trade secret claims involving

life sciences technology. He frequently contributes to discussions on legal

developments in the intellectual property field relating to antitrust issues.

He also counsels clients on a range of antitrust topics and across numerous

industries, including health care, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals,

construction, textiles, medical equipment, municipal airports, automo-

tive, social media, dairy products, egg products, and intermodal shipping

services. Mr. Van Horn focuses his practice on competition law matters,

particularly concerning the intersection of competition law and intellec-

tual property. He represents clients in connection with antitrust issues at

the Department of Justice and in pre-merger review by the Federal Trade

Commission.
