Jeffrey R. Matsen is the founder and managing

partner of Matsen Voorhees Mintz LLP. His practice

encompasses business formations and transactional

matters, Estate Planning, Asset Protection, Probate,

tax, and real estate. He has been designated as one

of the nation’s Top 100 Attorneys by Worth Maga-

zine and one of Southern California’s Super Law-

yers by Los Angeles Magazine. He has the highest

rating (“AV”) by Martindale Hubbell and also (“10

Superb”) by AVVO. He has been an adjunct pro-

fessor at Western State University College of Law,

Golden Gate University and Chapman University

School of Law. He has also given lectures to various

professional groups on areas related to his practice,

including limited liability companies, business en-

tity formation and selection, Asset Protection tech-

niques, and other relevant topics. He is a member

of the American Bar Association (Real Property and

Trust Section), WealthCounsel, and the Society of

Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”). He is also

a faculty member and fellow of the Center for Inter-

national Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria. He grad-

uated cum laude from Brigham Young University,

earning a BA degree, and graduated with honours

from the University of California at Los Angeles,

earning a JD degree.
