In the December/January edition, Bill Lueders writes in favor of defunding the police (Comment: "The Damage Done, the Job Ahead"), calling for the reallocation of funding "from one bucket to the other." Fine. Yet in the same issue ("One Question: How Have the Black Lives Matter Protests Impacted the Prison Abolition Movement?") Maya Schenwar, editor-in-chief at Truthout, says that "cutting police funding isn't enough," and calls for the "abolishing" of policing, not just the police.

Mmmm... seems like some in the socialist crowd aren't being honest. First...
