Jeremy R. Fischer is Drummond Wood-sum's Practice Group Leader for Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights, based in the firm's Portland, Maine, and Manchester, N.H., offices. He represents clients in distressed commercial matters from the first sign of trouble through the most complex financial restructuring or chapter 11 bankruptcy. Mr. Fischer has substantial experience in bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation and bankruptcy appellate matters across northern New England and around the country. In 2017, he was a member of ABI's inaugural class of its "40 Under 40" program, which recognizes leading young professionals in the bankruptcy and insolvency field. His clients include secured and unsecured creditors (including official and ad hoc committees), asset-purchasers, trustees, DIP lenders, insurance companies, contract counterparties, directors/officers and debtors. He also regularly represents parties in out-of-court debt restructurings, receiverships, and debtor/creditor litigation. Mr. Fischer previously served three terms in the Maine Legislature, where he was House Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. He now teaches business law at the University of Maine School of Law, serves on numerous civic and professional boards and committees, and regularly appears as a political analyst on local TV and radio. Mr. Fischer received his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Michigan and his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law.

Isley M. Gostin is counsel at the law firm of WilmerHale in Washington, D.C., where she represents clients in all stages of complex litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. She has represented clients at trial and evidentiary hearings in bankruptcy courts and district courts and on appeal in district courts, courts of appeals and the Supreme Court. Before joining WilmerHale in 2011, Ms. Gostin clerked for Hon. Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. She received her B.A. from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Todd Bartels is a trial attorney and litigator with the law firm of Polsinelli P.C. in Kansas City, Mo., where he focuses on complex commercial disputes in both federal and state courts. In recent years, a significant part of his practice has involved the prosecution of litigation claims on behalf of bankruptcy trustees, liquidating trustees and receivers.
