Since 1922, Granite Construction has made its mark in Utah. From roads, highways and bridges to transit systems and airports, Granite has been a fixture in helping to build Utah's transportation infrastructure. Experience and leadership are among Granite's assets. One of those leaders is Abby Albrecht.

Albrecht came to Granite a decade ago, originally as a cost engineer. After a stint at Granite's California corporate office as a field information manager, she returned to Utah in 2007 to assume her present role as public affairs and business development manager.

Each day, Albrecht juggles many duties and responsibilities. She is in charge of managing and coordinating community, agency and customer relations for the Utah Region, along with anything that involves governmental relations for the state of Utah. If that isn't enough, she also chairs the transportation task force for the Salt Lake Chamber, is a member of the board of directors at the Salt Lake Chamber, is on the legislative committee for the Associated General Contractors of Utah, sits on the Utah Mobility Coalition strategy team and is on the youth board for the GOAL Foundation.

Despite her heavy workload and extensive community service, Albrecht keeps a positive attitude and expresses satisfaction in her job-related obligations.
