AbatUS to invest $10 million, create 35 jobs.

Germany-based logistics and SAPservice providerAbatUSwill invest $10 million in a new Greenville location established to serve growing business in the Southeast.

A subsidiary ofAbatAG,the company assists original equipment manufacturers through project planning, consulting, SAP optimization and other services, specializing in German and European-owned businesses.

"We welcome AbatUS to Greenville County and salute their decision to establish operations here as a new and valuable member of our vibrant business community," H.G. "Butch" Kirven, Greenville County Council chairman, said in a news release. Kirven is also a board member for theGreenville Area Development Corporation, which made the announcement. "They bring a global reputation for excellence in process and project optimization, offering new concepts to the advanced manufacturing and logistic community."

The logistics group, a sister company to Adah International, has 40 employees in the United States and is expected to add 35 positions with theGreenville location on the 4thfloor at 1 North Main St. Current customers includeBMW,BLG Logistics,DaimlerandSwiss Krono.
