The Secretary he reby gives notice that at

the 2018 Midyear Meeting, the Nominating

Committee will announce nominations

for district and at-large positions on the

ABA Board of Governors for t hree-year

terms beginning at t he conclusion of the

2018 Annual Meet ing. The deadline for

receipt of nomination petitions is Jan. 5.

conducting elections, and the election

rules and procedure s, can be found at

NOTICE BY THE SECRETARY

The Nominating Committee will meet

during the 2018 Mi dyear Meeting in

Vancouver, Canada, on Feb. 4, be ginning

with the business sess ion at 9 a.m. and

followed by a forum to hear from c andidates

seeking nomination at the 2019 Midyear

Meeting. This por tion of the meeting is o pen

to Association members. The Committee

will then vote in closed session on nomina-

tions for offi cers and m embers of the Board

of Governors for terms be ginning at the

close of the 2018 Annu al Meeting. Contac t

AMENDMENTS TO THE ABA

CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS

The Constitution an d Bylaws may be

amended only at the ABA Annual Meeting

upon action of the H ouse of Delegates.

The next meeting is Aug . 6-7 in Chicago.

The deadline for any ABA me mber to

submit proposals is M arch 9. Proposals

will be published in th e July 2018 ABA
