ABA adds new content to free compliance training program.

ABA HAS ADDED NEW CONTENT to its free Frontline Compliance Training program to help banks keep customer-facing staff equipped to work in an environment of shifting regulation and high turnover.

One new topic is a course on the S.A.F.E. Act--Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act--which explains the purpose of the act and the core elements of the "mortgage loan originator (MLO)" position. Students will acquire a working knowledge of what activities define a mortgage loan originator, the registration requirements and the use of the MLO unique identifier.

As a part of ABA membership, banks can receive unlimited access to online courses, which have been developed by senior industry compliance experts and cover major federal regulations and other compliance issues such as Elder Financial Abuse that are important from a community as well as a compliance perspective.

ABA's compliance experts have designed up-to-date and essential course content to train tellers, customer service representatives, personal bankers, call center representatives and consumer lenders. This training equips frontline employees with current regulatory compliance information that is needed to work competently in the banking industry. ABA member bank employees have completed more than 875,000 courses in the past 12 months alone.
