The governor recently signed CalCPA-sponsored AB 1868, which should correct some of the most egregious problems of the practice privilege statute that went into effect Jan. 1, 2006. This marks another legislative success for CalCPA.

Since it was an urgency bill, the provisions of AB 1868 took effect immediately.
