§ 9.6.2.7 Willful and Malicious Injury. Claims for willful and malicious injury to another or to property of another are nondischargeable under 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(6) . Recklessness or negligence is not sufficient. For discharge to be denied under § 523(a)(6) , the injury must be deliberate or intentional, not merely the result of a deliberate or intentional act.
