B. (§9.50) Termination With Administration
If the protectee dies testate or with debts other than those incurred by the conservator, funeral expenses, or estate taxes, a decedent’s estate must be opened. Section 475.320.2, RSMo Supp. 2020. The conservator should file a final settlement within 90 days of the death of the protectee with a petition for approval of the final settlement and a proposed order of distribution to the deceased protectee’s personal representative.
